Rahul Wankhede

Rahul Wankhede is a Research Analyst at the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), New Delhi, where he is associated with the Defence Economics & Industry Centre. His research areas are defence cooperation, defence diplomacy, and defence modernisation.

Previously, he was a faculty member at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), where he taught a full-time course in National Security Studies and contributed to a Ministry of Defence project. He has also worked as a Research Associate at the JK Policy Institute and served as a student mentor with the Eklavya India Foundation.

Rahul is currently pursuing his PhD at the Special Centre for National Security Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). His research has been published in reputed journals, books, and online platforms.

He is a recipient of the UGC NET-JRF in Defence and Strategic Studies.

Rahul holds a Master’s degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from the Central University of Gujarat, where he was awarded the university gold medal.
