Hina Pandey

Dr. Hina Pandey is a Research Fellow at Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), New Delhi, where her research focuses on various aspects of nuclear issues including, nuclear non-proliferation, security, nuclear energy-politics etc.  Prior to joining MP-IDSA, she worked as a Consultant to the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division (D&ISA) of Ministry of External Affairs’ (MEA) GoI for over four years.

Earlier she has worked for over a decade in the field of public-policy research at the Centre for Aerospace Power and Strategic Studies (CAPSS), formerly (CAPS), New Delhi.  Hina has presented her work in India and abroad and also participated in several Track-2 and Track-1.5 dialogues; roundtables. Her articles have been published by Institute for Security & Development Policy (ISDP) Sweden, BASIC- UK, The Diplomat, Japan Forward, Stimson Centre, NIICE Nepal, Institute for Peace and Conflict Studies (IPCS) and KIIPS.  She is alumna of NPIHP (Nuclear) Boot Camp (2013-Wilson Centre- Rome Tre University) and recipient of six months Visiting Fellowship of South Asian Voices programme by the Stimson Centre, USA (2018). She holds a Doctorate from the American Studies Division, School of International Studies (SIS), JNU.

She is the author of the book “Nuclear Conundrum of Iran and North Korea: From Proliferation Crisis to Non-Proliferation Promise?” (2024) Routledge/ Knowledge World.
