A group of experts from Taiwan interacted with the IDSA scholars on Taiwan's Role and Position onSouth China Sea,India-Taiwan Relations and Think-Tanks culture inTaiwan, on January 24, 2014. The group comprised Prof Mumin Chen from National Chung Hsing University, Prof Tien-sze Fang and Dr Ya-wen Yu from the National Tsing Hua University.

Director General Mechanized Forces, Lt Gen SH Kulkarni, AVSM, VSM**, delivered a talk on 'Organisational Design for Employment of Offensive Forces: Key Issues for Planners', at IDSA on January 7, 2014.

The Internal Security Centre, IDSA, organised a talk by Lt Gen SA Hasnain (Retd), on ‘Kashmir 2014, A Review and Prognosis’ on January 6, 2014.

IDSA organised the IDSA-Japan Institute of International Affairs (JIIA) bilateral dialogue on December 24, 2013. The JIIA delegation was led by Deputy Director General, JIIA, Mr Toshiro Lijima.

A 16-member delegation from Afghanistan visited IDSA for an interaction with the scholars on December 23, 2013. The interaction was organised by the South Asia Centre.

A team of experts from The Heritage Foundation led by Senior Research Fellow, Ms Lisa Curtis, visited IDSA for an interaction on December 13, 2013. They discussed ‘India-United States Strategic Partnership and various Issues relating to Afghanistan, Pakistan and China’.

Honorary Fellow, Centre for the Study of Developing Societies, Mr Bharat Wariavwalla delivered a talk on ‘State, Secularism and Democracy: Can Liberal Democracy Prosper in the West Asia?’ at IDSA on December 12, 2013.
