Dr. Abhishek Kumar Darbey studies China Military that covers significant activities of China’s Armed Forces, and China’s defence & security issues in foreign and domestic affairs for more than a decade. His research interests also include China-Africa relations and the Chinese language, literature, history and culture.
Dr. Abhishek joined MP-IDSA in May 2024. Earlier, he held the posts of Research Associate and Research Fellow at the Centre for China Analysis and Strategy (CCAS), New Delhi, from September 2013 to August 2023. He was awarded PhD and MPhil degrees in 2018 and 2014 respectively by JNU, New Delhi. He completed his B.A and M.A in Chinese language in 2008 and 2010 respectively at JNU, New Delhi.
During his tenure at CCAS, he was associated with research and compilation of PLA Directory. He has various publications against his name including articles and book chapters.
