Given the fact militarism in general involves violence, either inflicted upon others or enduring it upon own bodies, what affects in the first place convince or attract the to-be soldiers to undertake such a way of livelihood/profession? It is a process that involves many drivers, motivations, internal pressures, external pulls, wish to survive in a competitive society, and many complicated processes. The latter terms invoke the much-vaunted hows: how these affects are constructed remains the main function of militarism, woos to-be soldiers and retains the support of the families that suffer because of the violence.
