Pakistan Project of IDSA is organising a talk by Dr Christopher Snedden, Professor at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, Honolulu, Hawaii on "Pakistan: The China Factor". The talk is scheduled on Monday, March 20, 2017, in Room 104 (Board Room) from 11:30 AM onward. About the AuthorDr. Christopher Snedden is a Professor at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, Honolulu, Hawaii. He is a former academic, politico-strategic intelligence analyst and security practitioner who specializes in South Asia—particularly this region’s politics, international relations, strategic perceptions, security issues, culture and religions, and regional affairs—in the Indian Ocean, particularly maritime matters, and in Australia and Australasia. With a long involvement with South Asia going back in 1981, he has worked professionally on South Asian matters with the Australian Government, in the Australian university sector, and in his own consultancy. His publications include the groundbreaking work The Untold Story of the People of Azad Kashmir, published by Hurst and Co., London/Columbia University Press, New York, 2012 (republished in India in 2013 by Harper Collins as Kashmir: The Unwritten History. His most recent book is Understanding Kashmir and Kashmiris, Hurst and Co., London, 2015. He is originally from Central Victoria, Australia. |
