PK Gautam (retd) gave a short presentation to the students and faculty of the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies (DSS), Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, Uttar Pradesh, on March 20, 2012, on issues in contemporary research like non traditional security, revisiting historical epochs, such as Chanakya and Buddhism in local setting, as found in North East Uttar Pradesh. The session was co-chaired by Prof Rajendra Prasad, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Science and former Head of DSS and Professor Hari Saran, the current incumbent.
