    Background

    Amit Kumar has done his M.Phil. on “Ethnic Assertions as a Challenge to Democratic Consolidation in Russia”. Currently he is working on his doctoral thesis on “Indo-Russian Strategic and Defense ties”. He has been a keen student of South Asian politics and has published works on Islamic fundamentalism in Bangladesh and insurgency in India’s north-east.
