Research analyst Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Ms Sneha M’s research piece ‘Assessing Regulatory Barriers and Bilateral Interdependence in India–Nepal Tea Trade’, co-authored with Jasmine Ojha, lawyer, columnist and Gen Z activist from Nepal, has been published by the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs-AIDIA.
The piece examines the implications of India’s 2026 tea-testing directive for cross-border trade with Nepal, with a focus on regulatory frictions, GI protection, and the broader economic interdependence shaping the eastern Himalayan tea belt.
