Associate Fellow, Manohar Parrikar IDSA, Dr Ranjit Kumar Dhawan’s peer-reviewed research article on ‘India’s Cultural Diplomacy towards South Korea under Narendra Modi: An Analysis’ has been published in the East Asian Policy, Vol. 18, No. 2 (April-June), 2026, pp. 5-19.
The article argues that India’s cultural diplomacy towards South Korea has been a strategy of the Narendra Modi government to draw more foreign investments, entrepreneurs and tourists from this Northeast Asian country, and to deepen New Delhi’s strategic cooperation with Seoul in the milieu of China’s increasing influence in the ‘Indo-Pacific’ region.
