| Educational Qualifications | Essential

| Job Description* | · The job profile inter-alia includes:
· Preparing databases · Writing a Book review and/ or web commentary once in three months for the MP-IDSA Website (four in a year) · One Issue Brief per year · Will be encouraged to write a research paper/ journal article once a year. · Participate in the capacity building activities like writing/research workshops, language training etc. · Work as part of a project undertaken (at any time by the Centre) and/ or assist Centre members on specific papers and compile monthly activity report · Providing research support for the Centre which may involve data mining by scanning journals and new arrivals in the library to provide a bibliography of the various articles/books relating to the subject matter concerned · Writing event reports of fellow’s seminars, roundtables, seminars, workshops, etc. held at the Institute · Provide administrative support for organising roundtables, workshops, seminars, conferences, meetings under the aegis of the Centre, coordinating with the Conference Cell etc. · Assisting with major events organised by the Institute like the Asian Security Conference, South Asia Conference, Foundation Day, etc. every year. · Any other task assigned by the Institute. |

| General Information | 1. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend interviews at MP-IDSA, Delhi
2. Certificates in original are to be produced in support of educational and age eligibility (and category, if applicable) at the time of interview. 3. Education qualification will be calculated as on last date of submission of application. 4. Shortlisted outstation candidates will be paid AC- III tier rail fare on production of tickets, by the shortest route 5. The Institute reserves the right to increase/ decrease the number of positions (category wise) as also fill or not to fill any or all the positions advertised, based on the Institute’s requirements. 6. The Institute reserves the right to offer a higher/lower position to a candidate who has been interviewed, based on his /her aptitude and Institute’s requirement, proviso to the required vacancy existing at the Institute (category wise), on the date of interview, and the candidate’s consent. 7. The Institute reserves the right to cancel recruitment at any stage without assigning any reason. 8. The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates, the Institute, at its discretion, may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications / experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and other academic achievements and feedback on past performance 9. The Institute reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidate(s) at any stage in the process of selection in case any inadvertent mistake is detected even after issue of appointment letter. 10. The Institute reserves the right to alter/insert any corrections/additions in the advertisement/ website in the event of any typographical error etc. before the last date prescribed for the receipt of applications, for which the candidates are advised to be in the lookout for announcements on the Institute’s website under ‘Join Us’ tab. 11. MP-IDSA reserves the right to relax the prescribed qualifications for candidates found more suitable for the position with relevant experience and expertise in the specified field. 12. The certificates (including those of reserved categories) will be subject to verification/reverification as may be decided by the competent authority, as per prevailing Government guidelines. 13. PwD candidates applying against UR vacancies are allowed age relaxation as applicable to UR (PwD) only. 14. Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under the ‘Creamy Layer’ and/ or if their caste does not find place in the Central List are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as ‘General (GEN)’ 15. The Reservation to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates shall be applicable as per Government of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Persons, DoPT OM No.36039/1/2019-Estt. (Res.) dated 31 January, 2019. The benefit of reservation under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by competent authority, as per the above mentioned DoPT OM dt. 31.2019, as candidate’s claim belonging to EWS. Candidate shall enclose the copy of EWS certificate in the application form. The candidate who do not belong to EWS category shall not apply for the post(s) reserved for EWS and if any stage, it is found that the EWS certificate is not valid, the candidature shall stand cancelled and appointment made, if any, shall be terminated with immediate effect without any further notice. 16. In case a candidate joins the Institute accepting the Terms and Conditions contained herein, she/he will be required to give an undertaking in writing that she/he will not apply for any appointment or course, part-time or full-time, without obtaining the written permission from the competent authority of the Institute. Also, while in service of the Institute, she/he will not engage in any trade or business or undertake any other full-time or part- time appointment. 17.
