Question: Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:-

(a) & (b) Yes, Madam. A Letter of Request (LoR) was issued in November, 2012 to the Government of the United States for procurement of Qty. 145 x M 777 Ultra Light Howitzer (ULH) through Foreign Military Sales (FMS) route. The US Government has responded via a Letter of Offer and Acceptance (LoA) for sale of Qty. 145 x M777 ULH at a tentative cost of US Dollars 694 million. Evaluation of the case through a Technical Oversight Committee is currently under progress.
