IDSA hosted an International Conference on “Energy Transportation and Economic Links in Eurasia – Emerging Partnerships” on January 16 – 17, 2012. Participants from all Central Asian Republics, Mongolia, Russia, Japan, the EU, China, Turkey, Iran, the US and international organizations like the ADB took part in this conference.

Ms Sarah MacIntosh, Director for Defence and International Security, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, United Kingdom, spoke in a Round Table on “UK’s Strategic Defence and Strategic Review – Where Are We Now?” at IDSA on January 18, 2012.

Dr Arvind Gupta, Director General, IDSA, briefed the media about the upcoming international seminar on ‘Energy, Transportation and Economic Links in Eurasia: Emerging Partnerships’. The two-day Seminar is scheduled to place on January 16-17, 2012.

Ambassador Mara Marinaki, Managing Director of the European Union’s (EU) Global and Multilateral Issues addressed a Seminar on Counter Terrorism, organised by IDSA, along with the Ministry of External Affairs and The European Union, Brussels on January 11, 2012.

The Indian Pugwash Society organised a talk by Prof. Pranav Desai on “India’s Science Policy: Challenges and Prospects for the Future” on January 10, 2012.
