An 18 member delegation comprising Dr Dan Fullerton, Assistant Director and course members of Advance Operational Art Studies Fellowship (AOASF) Programme from the US Army War College interacted with Director General, IDSA, Dr Arvind Gupta and the scholars at the IDSA on 29 February 2012.

A Round Table Discussion on ‘Private Sector Participation in Defence Production: Issues of Industrial Licensing and FDI’ was organised by IDSA on February 28, 2012. Senior officials (serving and retired) from the MoD, DIPP, armed forces and industry representatives participated in the discussion.

The 45th Annual General Body Meeting of the IDSA was held on February 25, 2012. The meeting was chaired by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri and President, IDSA, Shri A.K. Antony.

IDSA's Centre for Military Affairs organised a Round Table to discuss the major lessons to be learnt from the Indian intervention in Sri Lanka. The discussion was initiated by Dr. S. Kalyanaraman, Research Fellow at IDSA.

IDSA’s 14th Asian Security Conference, from February 13-15, 2012, came to a close on February 15.

Dr Arvind Gupta, Director General, IDSA, briefed the media about the upcoming 14th Asian Security Conference. The theme of the three-day conference that takes place from February 13-15, 2012, is Non-Traditional Security Challenges- Today and Tomorrow.

Ambassador Satish Chandra, former Deputy National Security Advisor chaired the International Symposium on “War on Terror in the Post-Osama Phase” organised by IDSA along with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Institute of Asian Studies (MAKAIAS), Kolkata, on Friday, 10 February 2012.

Given the context of the ongoing debate, IDSA conducted a round table discussion on “AFSPA - The Way Forward” on February 8, 2012.
