An interaction with a 67 member delegation comprising of Directing Staff and students from Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College, Singapore led by Commandant of SAFTI Military Institute, Brigadier General Benedict Lim was held at IDSA on 8th October 2012. DDG, Brig Rumel Dahiya (Retd) chaired the session.

The interaction included presentations by Dr Kalyanaraman, Dr Ashok Behuria and Dr RN Das followed by a Q&A session.

Mr Jaideep Saikia, an expert on South Asian Security and Terrorism, delivered a talk on ‘Distant Frontier: Encapsulating Recent Developments in India's North East and Its Neighbourhood’ at IDSA on October 1, 2012.

Mr Amir Khosru M Chowdhury, Former Minister of Commerce, People's Republic of Bangladesh and Member Advisory Council of the Chairperson of the BNP, discussed the ‘State of Democracy and India-Bangladesh Relations with the scholars of the South Asia Centre at IDSA on September 28, 2012.

A 16-member team of German CAPSTONE Course of German Command and Staff College, headed by Mr Karl H Schreiner, interacted with IDSA scholars on the subject "India Today and it's Objectives, Chances and Impediments in a Multipolar World" on September 27, 2012.

Deputy High Commissioner, New Zealand High Commission, New Delhi, Ms Wendy Matthews called on Deputy Director General, IDSA, Brig Rumel Dahiya, SM (Retd) on September 10, 2012 and discussed matters of common interest. Senior Research Associate, IDSA, Dr Udai Bhanu Singh also participated in the interaction.

A 13 member delegation of senior officials and academics from People's Republic of China visited IDSA for an interaction on the subjects of mutual interest on September 6, 2012. Director General, IDSA, Dr Arvind Gupta chaired the interaction.
