    FINANCIAL AID TO OTHER COUNTRIES

    SHRI K. P. DHANAPALAN:

    Will the Minister of EXTERNAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state:

    (a) whether the Government had given financial aid to other
    countries;
    (b) if so, the details thereof for the last three years and the
    current year;
    (c) whether the Government has given any direction or condition
    for spending the said financial aid; and
    (d) if so, the details thereof?

    (a) & (b) Yes. Details of financial assistance provided by India during the last three financial years and the current financial year are
    enclosed at ANNEXURE-A. In addition, details of Lines of Credit
    provided by India are also enclosed at ANNEXURE-B.
    (c) & (d) India's financial assistance is given free of any
    conditionalities. The concessional Lines of Credit are provided as soft loans.
