Kishalay Bhattacharjee has been with Broadcast Journalism since 1993. He was a Senior Fellow at IDSA.
Prior to joining IDSA Kishalay Bhattacharjee was working as a Bureau Chief for North East India with New Delhi Television (NDTV). He has been with NDTV since 1996 and has helped produce a range of programmes and have reported from a number of places particularly on conflict and post conflict situations.
Kishalay Bhattacharjee is the recipient of the Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Journalism for 2006-2007. He has been the Edward Murrow Fellow for Journalism, 2006 and Panos Fellow for HIV /AIDS in 2007. Mr. Bhattacharjee has made several documentaries one of which titled Santi, Lucy and Thoibi was selected for the Barcelona Film Festival and Beyond Borders, an international festival of films in Goa in 2007.
Kishalay has been writing on conflict for journals and newspapers. He has contributed stories on North East India in anthologies like First Proof published by Penguin India and The Prize Stories: Best in the Indian News Business 2006-2007 an initiative by the Indian Express
