Amali Wedagedara holds a masters degree in International Politics from the School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She has majored in Economics and Statistics from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. Her academic interests are foreign policy, nationalism, strategic culture and Security Studies. She has co-authored a book chapter titled :"Intra-State Conflicts and Inter-State Relations: Perspectives on India-Sri Lanka Relations", and has also published essays on civil society, nationalism and post-war scenarios in Sri Lanka in http://groundviews.org/. Currently she is working on the "'Tamil question' in India Sri Lanka Relations in the Post LTTE Phase" and "Sri Lanka's approaches to the ethnic issue in the post war context".
