  • 373 insurgents belonging to the Dima Halam Daogah-Jewel Gorlosa (DHD-J) laid down their arms in Assam’s NC Hills district on September 13-141.

An explosives-laden car with about 25 kg of improvised explosive device (IED) was detected inside the Raj Bhavan in Imphal on September 18. The Kangleipak Communist Party (Military Council) claimed responsibility for the incident. The police however defused the bomb successfully. This is the first time that militants have used a car bomb to target vital installations2.
