  • Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva will meet his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen on the sidelines of the UN General assembly meeting which is to be held in New York from September 24, 2010. During their meeting, both leaders would discuss various issues, including border disputes, cross border trade and tourism.1

Malaysia and China are to sign a Mutual Recognition Agreement Act (MRA) to promote student exchange between the two nations. Under the proposed MRA, university degrees from China would be recognized in Malaysia. This step is expected to encourage Malaysian students to study in China subjects like nuclear science, automotive and aerospace engineering where the Chinese universities are highly proficient. Efforts will also be taken to make Malaysia an attractive destination for the Chinese students.2
