  • According to reports, a senior Yemeni official has stated on August 9 that at least seven suspected militants from Saudi Arabia were among the alleged Al Qaeda members killed in Yemen in a recent wave of US drone strikes. This suggests that Saudis are increasingly crossing the border to carry funds or seek terrorist training. According to Yemeni security officials terrorists from Saudi Arabia crossed the border between to either ferry in money to the terror group or to train in Al Qaeda camps. They also allege that Al Qaeda is especially recruiting tech-savvy and well-educated Saudis. 1
