  • Reports noted that the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADE) has sent a proposal requesting GE for its state-of-the-art F414 military aviation engines to speed up the development of Tejas light combat aircraft (LCA) manufactured by HAL. The F414-GE-400 is the US Navy’s latest production fighter engine incorporating the design base of its predecessor F-404 engine, which powers the Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The F414-GE-400 has been found to be highly reliable during initial field trials1.
