Reports noted that Iranian opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, and their wives, have been taken from their homes by security forces, reports suggest. Website close to Mousavi stated that the men have been taken to Heshmatiyeh jail in Tehran. However, government officials denied the report. Government official said “the two are currently in their homes and there have only been restrictions on their contacts.” It happens ahead of planned protests that are due for Tuesday. Opposition groups said some 1,500 people were detained, but official figures put the number at 150. 1
