  • With two weeks left for the mid term elections in the United States, President Barack Obama has hit the campaign trail to consolidate the position of the Democratic Party. Obama visited Columbus, Ohio to build support for the current governor of Ohio, Gov. Ted Strickland. Reports noted that these visits by President Obama are part of an intensive two weeks of campaign travel leading up to the Nov. 2 elections, which began with trips to Delaware on Friday and Massachusetts on Saturday.1 However, reported noted that despite the President Obama’s campaign for the mid term elections, the Republican Party’s morale remains rather high. Although, despite the high morale, Republicans continue to be uncertain about the prospects of capturing the Senate as many of the races for the Governor’s position are extremely close.2
