Chinoy delivered the inaugural Lecture on ‘India as a Rising Power’ to the Post-Graduate students of International Relations at the Christ University, Bengaluru on March 18, 2019. The lecture was a part of the Ambassadors' Lecture Series on ‘India And The World’. Director General also released the Internship Report of MIAS 2017-2019 batch.

Senior Research Associate, IDSA, Ms Ruchita Beri spoke on ‘Food Security and maritime policy in the Indian Ocean Region’ at the TERI-KAS Resource Dialogue on ‘The Emerging Global Maritime Order - India’s Strategy’, at Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), Chennai, from March 07-09, 2019.

Consultant to Indigenous Historical Knowledge Project at IDSA, Col PK Gautam gave a presentation on 'Introduction to Kautilya’s Arthashastra' at a one day workshop on ‘Kautilya’s Arthashastra & Its Relevance in Modern Times’, organised by the Directorate of Indian Defence University, HQ Integrated Defence Staff, New Delhi, on March 07, 2019.

The IDSA delegation led by Director General, IDSA, Amb. Sujan R. Chinoy interacted with the scholars of Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV), under Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi on March 05, 2019. They exchanged views on global and regional defence and strategic issues to deepen comprehensive India-Vietnam strategic partnership.

The other members of the delegation comprised Deputy Director General, IDSA, Maj Gen Alok Deb (Retd) and scholars Dr Udai Bhanu Singh, Cmde Abhay K Singh and Dr M.S. Pratibha.

The IDSA delegation led by Director General, IDSA, Amb. Sujan R. Chinoy had a useful exchange of views with the scholars of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences (VASS) on a broad range of strategic issues to promote comprehensive strategic partnership between India and Vietnam. The interaction took place on March 05, 2019.
