Chietigj Bajpaee is a doctoral candidate in the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. His research examines the Sino-Indian relationship in a regional context by assessing the ‘securitization’ of China in strategic elite discourses of India’s ‘Look East’ policy.
Prior to his doctoral studies he worked with several political risk consultancies and public policy think-tanks. He was a senior analyst in the Global Risk Analysis department at Control Risks, a London-based political and security consultancy and a research analyst in the Country Intelligence Group at IHS Global Insight, a macroeconomic research and forecasting company. He has also worked with the International Security and Energy programs at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C., and the Defence Analysis and South Asia programs at the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). He obtained his Master’s degree in International Relations at the London School of Economics and completed his Undergraduate studies in Economics and Political Science at Wesleyan University and the University of Oxford.
