Abhijit Sharma is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Economics at the Bradford University School of Management, UK. He completed his PhD in Economics from the University of Sheffield and his MA (GPE) at Hull University which received a British Chevening award. Abhijit’s research interests include applied econometrics, international economics, and conflict and resource economics.
Abhijit is currently co-investigator on an EU FP7 funded international research project on technology and knowledge transfer both across organisations and geographical regions (“Crossing Boundaries”, €194,500). He was previously a Post Doctoral Research Economist at the Centre for Environmental Policy, Imperial College London, on a large Research Councils UK project where his role involved econometric modelling of technology adoption decisions. He has worked on research projects funded by the UK National Health Service, the World Bank and the UK Food Standards Agency.
He publishes regularly in high quality international peer reviewed journals and acts as an expert reviewer for a number of scholarly journals
