Research Fellow, IDSA, Dr Jagannath Panda’s Oped on China’s defence budget, titled ‘Beijing’s defence budget unveils grand security ambitions’ was published in The Asian Age on March 12, 2018.

Dr Panda, in the oped argues that the increase in China’s defence budget is closely linked to the goal of transforming the PLA into a ‘modern, mechanised, IT-based force’.
