Director General, IDSA, Dr Arvind Gupta attended a lunch hosted by Aspen Institute India in honour of Chairman, Singapore Tourism Board and Chairman, SGX, Mr Chew Choon Seng, on November 22, 2012 at The Chambers (Pashmina), The Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.
Mr Seng discussed the prospects of greater cooperation between India in the tourism sector. Some participants also suggested the need to explore the prospects of cooperation in the defence industrial sector. Dr Gupta informed Mr Seng about the government’s defence procurement policies and the encouragement to private sector participation in defence production.
