A retired diplomat from Sri Lanka, Ms Sarala Fernando attended a discussion on ‘Assessment of Tamil Nadu Factor in India-Sri Lanka Relations’ organised at IDSA on March 18, 2013. Ms Fernando held several important diplomatic positions and was the Director General of Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training institute from 2008-11. She received the Fulbright Professional Grant for the study of Public Diplomacy in 2011-12.
