Russia to deliver India new RD-33 engines

  • HAL and Rosoboronexport signed a contract at the Russian Air Show MAK 2009 under the terms of which 26 RD-33 series-3 engines will be delivered to India. The engines are an upgraded version of the RD-33 turbofan engines and are expected to be more long-lasting. The engines can also be equipped with a thrust vectoring nozzle (TVN)1.
