    Will the Minister of SPACE be pleased to state:-

    (a) whether Indian Space Research Organisation proposes to relaunch the satellites which ends in failure;

    (b) if so, the details thereof; and

    (c) if not, the reasons therefor?

    ANSWER: MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY PERSONNEL, PG & PENSIONS AND IN THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE(SHRI V. NARAYANASAMY):

    (a) & (b) In case of satellites that fail while in orbit, a new satellite is launched as a replacement to meet the continuity of services and also factoring in the new programmatic requirements.

    (c) Does not arise.
