    Will the Minister of SPACE be pleased to state:-

    (a) whether India and China have decided to work on a project of manufacturing a big telescope with mutual cooperation in the field of astronomy;

    (b) if so, the details thereof; and

    (c) the details of the amount being spent on the said project with the cooperation of China along with the time-limit under which the said project is likely to be completed?
    ANSWER: MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PERSONNEL, PG & PENSIONS AND IN THE PRIME MINISTER’S OFFICE (SHRI V. NARAYANASAMY):

    (a) There is no such proposal for manufacturing of a big telescope through mutual cooperation between India and China.

    (b) Does not arise.

    (c) Does not arise.
