Relations between India and Japan have gone through several stages, each with their own apogees and perigees. The volume under consideration is an effort to capture these vicissitudes. Though it is a diverse and comprehensive collection of Indian and Japanese scholarly voices, sadly it is prone to several deficiencies in conceptualization and formatting.
