    Nigel Singh is a Visiting Fellow, researching India’s contribution to the technology transfer debate within the UN climate negotiations, using developments in the Indian solar industry as a specific case study. This involves a political appraisal of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission at a national and state level, private sector activity, and the relevance of India’s international presentations on a technology mechanism. He has an MSc in Contemporary India from Oxford University, where his dissertation focused on the role of intellectual property rights in technology transfer. He also has a First Class degree in English from Bristol University. Nigel Singh was for ten years a Producer of BBC and Channel Four television programmes in the UK. He has also worked as a campaigns organiser for the British Labour Party. He has written for Foresight (web journal of Policy Network), and co-authored papers for Economic and Political Weekly and the Oxford Department of International Development.
