IDSA hosted and organised this latest round of the dialogue at India International Centre, New Delhi. Topics discussed during the course of the two-day dialogue were: Security Perspectives of India and Taiwan; Non-Traditional Security Challenges like Bird Flu and the Threat of Piracy; Military Modernisation; Japan's Role in Asia; and India-Taiwan Ties. The dialogue began with a keynote address by the IDSA Director Mr. Narendra Sisodia on Indian Security Concerns.
The six-member NCCU team was led by Dr. Bih-Jaw Lin, Vice President of the National Chengchi University, Taiwan, and included: Dr. Peter Chang (Department of Health, Taiwan), Mr. James H C Chang (TECC, New Delhi), Mr. Leon Lee (First Secretary, TECC, New Delhi), Dr. Fu-Kuo Liu (Associate Research Fellow, NCCU) and Dr. Han Hua Chen (Associate Research Fellow, NCCU).
Mr. Narendra Sisodia, Director IDSA, led the ten-member Indian team, which comprised of: Dr. V Siddhartha, Dr. G V C Naidu, Col. Rakesh Sharma, Wg. Cdr. Rajiv Mata, Cdr. Alok Bansal, Cdr. Gurpreet Khurana, Mr. Deba Mohanty, Dr. Cherian Samuel, Ms. Vaishali Singh.
