Afroz Khan

Afroz Khan is a Research Analyst with the MP-IDSA project on Pakistan News Digest. He is simultaneously pursuing his Ph.D. at the Centre for West Asian Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and working on his thesis on “The American Jewish Diaspora and the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict in the Post-Oslo Period”. He received his MPhil degree from the same university and his dissertation was titled “Right-Wing Political Parties in Israel and the Palestinian Issue since 1977”. He holds a Master’s degree in South Asian Studies and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights from Pondicherry University. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

Afroz has worked as a Research Assistant for a project on Jewish Networks and Diaspora between the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea in Modern Times (16th-20th centuries) at the Ben Gurion University of the Negev, Israel in 2021-22. He was a research intern at Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) in 2017 and South Asia Foundation Fellow at UMISARC, Pondicherry University (2014-2015). He was also a recipient of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarship in 2013 to study Hebrew Summer School at Haifa University, Israel.
