Vietnamese companies will participate in exploration and further exploitation of the gas and oil fields in Uzbekistan. An agreement to this effect was signed between the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and the state-owned Uzbekneftegaz during the visit of a Vietnamese energy delegation to Tashkent on September 17-18. The deal also allows joint energy ventures on the territories of both countries, and envisages energy cooperation in other third states also1.
