Turkish parliament speaker Cemil Cicek has said that Turkey will not condone any ethnic or religious group in setting up “de facto” administrations in Syria in the likely event of a power vacuum. Turkey has expressed its concern about the spill-over of ethnic conflict and civil war into Syria’s bordering countries, thus affecting regional security. Cicek has also accused the international community of being indifferent to the Syrian crisis, with no concrete UN Security Council proposal in sight to resolve the conflict. 1
