While putting an end to the recent anti-Japan protests in Beijing, the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau has prohibited its residents from conducting such protests further. The protests erupted all over China following Japan’s purchase three of the Senkaku islands, over which China claims its own sovereignty. The Chinese government did not take serious action against the protests for long. However, the recent ban indicates that the government has finally decided to change its policy. 1
