DNC calls for giving Bhutanese refugees equal religious and cultural rights

  • Druk National Congress (DNC), the political party in exile in Nepal called for giving Bhutanese refugees equal religious and cultural rights. The president of the Druk National Congress, Rongthong Kunley Dorji also called on the government of Bhutan and the exiled leaders to work together in solving the issues confronting the country1.

    In other developments, Bhutan would upgrade the Disaster Management Division (DMD) to include three divisions dealing with preparedness and mitigation, response and early warning and relief and reconstruction2.
