  • India’s Trade and Industry Minister Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, after meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Fahmi Idris in Jakarta called for greater foreign direct investment from Indonesia. India’s investment in the country so far amounts to around $2 billion. Other investments in the pipeline include a $3 billion aluminum smelter in South Sumatra to be built by the country’s state-run National Aluminum Company (NALCO), $200 million to be invested by the Tata’s and $10 million by TVS Motors1.
