Two Hizbul Mujahideen militants - Javed Ahmed and Ashiq Ali, allegedly planning terror strikes in Delhi ahead of the Independence Day, were arrested by the Delhi Police' special cell from Daryaganj on August 6. The arrest came hours after Union Home Ministry Mr. Pillai made public intelligence inputs about LeT planning terror attack in Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata ahead of August 15. Two AK-47 rifles, about 100 cartridges and two grenades were recovered from the militants1.
