Japan inks a defence deal with the US on F-35 fighter jets

    According to reports, Japan has recently inked a deal with the US Defence Department to purchase four F-35 fighter jets. Each of the planes is to cost 10.2 billion yen. They will be introduced as next-generation mainstay fighter gets for the Japanese Air Self Defense Force (ASDF) in fiscal 2016. 1
