Reports noted that the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF), under a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) deal, will receive Lockheed Martin AN/AAQ-33 Sniper Advanced Targeting Pods (ATPs), within a period of two years. The deal is the first phase of a multi-year, $100 million precision sensor modernisation programme to replace the old LANTIRN (Low-Altitude Navigation and Targeting InfraRed for Night) targeting and navigation pods used aboard RSAF F-15S aircraft1.
