At the Paris Air Show, the Boeing Company announced that it will provide funds for the development of the F-15 Silent Eagle, the first flight demonstrations of which will be held in the third quarter of 2010. F-15 Silent Eagle is the most modern variant of the F-15 multi-role strike fighter. The aircraft will have a digital electronic warfare suite coupled with Advanced Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar for enhanced situational awareness and cost-effective radar cross-section reduction technologies. These technologies will provide the aircraft with greater flexibility, a longer-range, ability to carry larger payloads, high-speed along with reduced observability1.
