Reports noted that during a recent meeting held in Singapore among top defense officials from South Korea, Japan and the US on the sidelines of the 11th Asia Security Summit, the three countries agreed to expand their trilateral defence cooperation to deal with further provocations from North Korea. They also decided to reinforce collaboration for regional peace and stability and strengthen cooperation on issues like humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, maritime security, protection of freedom of navigation and non-proliferation. 1
