During his farewell visit to the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADE), Air Chief Marshall Fali Homi Major stated that the induction of the first squadron of the Tejas LAC (Light Combat Aircraft) could take place by the end of 2010 or the beginning of 2011. ACM Major acknowledged the help of organizations such as DRDO, ADA, HAL and other partners for giving a transformational edge to the IAF1.
