According to reports, despite a clampdown by security forces, demonstrations were held across a large number of Syrian cities and towns over the past week, calling for the overthrow of the regime and denouncing recent violence. Figures showed that demonstrations were held in more than 600 locations across the country. Several people were reported killed by direct gunfire, artillery shelling, and raids by Syrian Army forces. 1
