Rasoul Movahedian, Iran's ambassador in London disclosed that Iran had worked out a new package aimed at breaking the diplomatic deadlock over the country's nuclear programme. Amb. Movahedian stated that the initiative would be presented over the weekend to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council as well as Germany1. The US has however refused to send its envoy to Tehran to receive the contents of the deal. The US reluctance has however not deterred the other members from sending their representatives to Tehran2.
